Chatwal to Invest 5,000 Crore In India

Chatwal is all set to spend Rupees five thousand crore in India. At this time, his company is coming up with 8 hotels in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The first of these properties, in Hyderabad.

US based NRI, Sant Singh Chatwal, a close ally of the Clintons, plans to renovate the historic Gobindgarh fort located at Amritsar into a seven-star hotel.

Talking on his plans to convert the Gobindgarh fort into a 7-star hotel which will also have a museum, Chatwal told that the amount of NRI Indians as well as foreigners visiting Amritsar is huge due to the Golden Temple but unluckily the city still does not has a world class hotel.

Chatwal has already talked about the matter with Chief Minister of punjab and claims that he was pretty optimistic about it. However, an official decision is yet to come on the proposal. Chatwal sounded a note of caution: “We are very time bound and will invest in Punjab only if the state government responds quickly.”
